The zonal sports association of Nkwatia circuit in the Kwahu East District under the Ghana Education Service has commenced its annual sports festival for U-13 and U-15 for the 2024/2025 academic year.
The festival started on Monday, 25th November 2024 and would end on Friday, 29th November 2024 at Nkwatia Nana Ayiripe D/A Basic schools' sports field.
The activities for the festival include U-13 Soccer for boys and netball for girls, U-15 soccer for boys, U-15 netball for girls and U-15 volleyball for boys and girls.
The festival commenced with a gathering of students and teachers in the Nkwatia Circuit comprising of schools in Nkwatia Kwahu and Aduamoa Kwahu all in the Kwahu East District.
The Ghana national anthem was sung, and the Ghana national pledge was also recited beginning the opening ceremony of the festival. The organizers (Zonal Executives) of the festival have put together their unflinching efforts to make this year's program a success.
All athletes and sports boys/girls have been weighed and screened with the recommended criteria.
The sports festival is participated by 11 schools in the circuit all presenting both primary and JHS sports boys/girls for the festival. These schools have been put into Group A and Group B.
